At the end of Q2 2026 meeting, the Madtopia.World team discussed new things we can add to the site. We came up with two ideas that we will add to our fiscal year 2027 plan. More may be added, but we are targeting the completion of two main projects:
- Does the HBO series Silicon Valley pass the bechdel test?
This is a 5 season series and someone on our team wondered if any part of the series passes the Bechdel test, and if so, how much of it does. As an act of investigative journalism, a team from Madtopia.World will look into if any, and if so how many, episodes from this series pass the Bechdel test.
2. How much time does a Missouri S&T student spend on each class per week?
A student from Missouri University of Science and Technology has agreed to partake in an observational research study for the Spring of 2027 in which they will track how much time they spend on each class activity per week, and at the end of the semester a data analysis will be conducted to see which classes took the most time, and how much time the student spent on homework and studying per week.
